Japanese envoy to Pakistan, Seiji Kojima currently on a visit to Gilgit, called on Speaker Northern Areas legislative Council (NALC), Malik Mohammad Miskeen in his chamber. According to official sources, they exchanged views as to how the mountainous communities of Northern Areas could be developed.
The NALC Speaker briefed the envoy about the special political status of Northern Areas. He also shed light on the fast development of the area and proceedings the house. The Speaker informed Mr Seiji Kojima that federal government was taking special interest in development of the region to bring it at par with other developed parts of the country.
Mohammad Miskeen Khan lauded the special interest of government of Japan in uplift of the area and hoped that Japan would continue to play its role for the socio-economic uplift of the area.
