The liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices would decrease by two rupees per kilogram after government's decision to abolish customs duty on its import.
After abolition of five percent customs duty, per cylinder rate of LPG will be cut by 25 rupees or two rupees per kg, chairman LPG Distributors Association Hadi Khan told a private television channel on Friday. He said imported LPG was available at Rs 564 per kilogram, while the gas made in the country was available at Rs 340 per cylinder.
He said abolition of GST and income tax could bring the price of imported LPG down to the level of locally made LPG.
