Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said that he would pay surprise visits to the schools in the province. This will help identify the 'ghost' schools and that action would be initiated in such cases.
The chief minister stated this during a surprise visit to Goth Dhari High School near Kashmore.
Provincial Minister, Mir Manzoor Panwar, and member of Sindh Assembly, Mir Abid Jatoi, and senior officials accompanied him, says a statement issued here.
It said that the chief minister mixed up with the school children and checked the attendance register.
He also went into a class of the school where teaching was in progress.
Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim exhorted the teachers to prepare the youngsters for the future challenges.
He said that the children are our assets and as such full attention be paid towards their education, training and upbringing.
The chief minister issued directives to the officials that the school should be provided with the basic facilities immediately.
