National Bank President Syed Ali Raza has said that rickshaw scheme for educated youth under the employment scheme announced President Musharraf will have a positive impact on country's economy and help in poverty reduction in the country.
Addressing a seminar at a local hotel here on "Smiling Customer", he said that National Bank is providing quality service to its valued customers. An extensive network of ATM machines and online banking was an ample proof of innovative services being provided by the bank, he added.
The NBP chief said during the period from September 2005 to September 2006, the bank has recorded 50 percent increase in its profit as compared to the preceding year, and this has been possible because of customers' trust in the bank.
"The way we have issued loans on professional grounds to various segments of the society-from businessmen to matriculate unemployed youth-it will not only promote commercialism, but would also make the debtors bound to make timely payment," Ali Raza observed.
