President General Pervez Musharraf has emphasised the need for introducing modern technology at all tiers for improving working of the judiciary, ensuring transparency and speedy delivery of justice to the people.
He made these remarks at a presentation on the automation of courts in the country. Minister for Law Wasi Zafar, Minister for Information Technology Awais Ahmed Leghari and senior officials attended the meeting.
President Musharraf said that the delivery of timely and speedy justice to the common man was the top priority of the government and all efforts were being made to provide all necessary administrative and other facilities to the judiciary in this regard.
The president underlined that the automation of the courts would help improve working of the judiciary and pendency of the cases would significantly reduce. He underscored the need for co-ordination among all stakeholders, including the superior and other courts for effective implementation of the automation system for achieving better results.
