Punjab Communication and Works Minister Chaudhry Zaheer ud Din Khan on Monday said that Member British House of Lords, Lord Nazir Ahmed was violating universally accepted norms of democracy through his active participation in Pakistani politics.
He also said that Lord Nazir's conduct is surprising, as he seems more of a leader of Pakistani Opposition than a member of British parliament. "The members of British parliament would also be perturbed over the behaviour of Lord Nazir, as a number of minorities become part of British parliament but they do not take part in political process of other countries. Lord Nazir's attitude can justifiably be described as uncalled for intervention," he added.
