Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Senate meeting was held on Tuesday, chaired by LUMHS vice-chancellor Dr Noshad Ahmed Shaikh, as Chancellor, Sindh Governor Dr Isharat-ul-Ibad could not come due to preoccupation at Karachi.
The vice-chancellor presented annual report regarding various achievements made by the University in the preceding year. He specially mentioned introduction of reforms in the University.
He particularly mentioned privatisation of transport system which resulted in saving of Rs 2 million per month. He emphasised that students be busied in healthy activities such as sports and different academic activities.
He appreciated the efforts of Professor Sikandar A Shaikh, Principal of CMC, for good results of CMC Larkana. He also appreciated Principal of PMC Nawabshah and Principal of GMMMC Sukkur for achieving best academic results.
Ahsan Ali Kehar, director finance, LUMHS presented annual accounts for 2006-07. The vice-chancellor finally appreciated the services of outgoing Registrar, Afzal Memon.
