Ramazan-ul-Mubarak: 30 fair price shops for Islamabad planned

All arrangements have been completed for setting up 20 fair price shops in urban areas and 10 in rural areas of Islamabad where items of daily use would be provided at cheaper rates as compared to the market during the sacred month of Ramazan.
The price of 20-kg flour bag will be Rs 286 at these fair price shops as its current market rate is Rs 297 to Rs 300. The price of Ghee is ranging from Rs 88 to Rs 90 per kg in the market while it would be available at the rate of Rs 82 per kg at these shops.
Gram pulse will be available at the rate of Rs 36 per kg as compared to market rate of Rs 40 to Rs 42 per kg while Basin at the rate of Rs 40 per kg as compared to the market rate of Rs 44 to Rs 46 per kg.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Chaudhry Muhammad Ali said the district administration would strictly monitor the prices in the open market and would not allow profiteering to any one.
