The 57th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was commemorated here on Tuesday with due observance like other parts of the country. Quran Khawani was held in all mosques, schools and colleges of all Talukas of Hyderabad district.
Quran Khawani was also held at APWA Headquarter Latifabad, where large number of women offered Fateha. Pakistan Muslim League (F) also organised a meeting, presided over by its provincial Secretary General Nawab Rashid Ali Khan.
The participants vowed to continue efforts to transform the country into a prosperous, developed and moderate state, in line according to dreams of the father of the nation.
Nawab Rashid Ali Khan in his address emphasised the need to follow the footprints of Quaid-i-Azam in letter and spirit to achieve the goals envisioned by him. Besides special supplements from local newspapers, Pakistan Broadcasting House Hyderabad and other private radio and television channels broadcast and telecast special programmes highlighting the struggle of father of the nation.
