Pakistan and Malaysia have agreed to enhance co-operation in the field of military training and venture in defence industry. This was decided in high level meetings held by the visiting Pakistani defence delegation, headed by Defence Secretary Lieutenant General (Retd) Syed Athar Ali Shah with Secretary-General of Malaysian Ministry of Defence Dato Abu Bakar Bin Haji Abdullah, and Malaysian armed forces personnel in Kuala Lampur, on November 17 and 18.
During the meetings, both sides pledged to enhance co-operation in the field of military training and ventures in defence industry. Pakistan has been an important source of military training and defence procurements for the Malaysian armed forces since long, the press release added.-PR
