Sindh Minister for Environment Hasan Askari Taqvi and MNA Khushbakht Shujaat visited DHA's Main Office on Tuesday and discussed various environmental issues and matters relating to public interest with the Administrator DHA, Brigadier Khalid Tirmizi.
They were given an in-depth briefing on the ongoing projects in DHA including the Waterfront Development (WFD) projects and the measures taken by the Housing Authority to mitigate the ensuing environmental issues. The minister underlined the need of conducting joint quarterly review and monitoring of mitigation measures taken by DHA in line with IEE approved by Sepa. He said that speedy execution of WFD projects should be ensured in the national interest while addressing the environmental concerns at all cost.-PR
