Indian Home Minister has extended an invitation to Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik to visit India. Indian Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta called on Malik here on Wednesday and conveyed to him the message of invitation. Secretary Interior, Syed Kamal Shah was also present in the meeting.
Both the Secretaries briefed the Advisor about the discussions and deliberations held between the two countries during the 5th Round of Home Secretary level talks under the Composite Dialogue process. Malik expressed satisfaction over the progress made during the two-day talks.
He also appreciated the joint statement issued at the end of their discussions. Gupta on behalf of the Indian Home Minister invited Malik to visit India at an early date. The Advisor also extended invitation to the Home Minister of India to visit Pakistan.
