Additional District and Sessions Judge Qamar Ijaz on Wednesday summoned Sub Inspector Anwar Ali for November 29 for recording his witness in trial of an accused of raping a seven-year-old orphan girl. Earlier the judge had recorded all the prosecution witnesses and only Anwar was left who investigated the case.
According to the prosecution accused Zubair had raped seven years old Tayyaba with abatement of Talha, Muzammal and Muzaffar. LHC Chief Justice Syed Zahid Hussain has issued directions to the trial court to conclude the trial early. Earlier the Dr Abid Hussain of Tehsil Head Quarter hospital Muridke submitted in his witness that he got specimen of Zubair and sent to Mayo Hospital Lahore for potency test through the SI but the test report could not reach the court so far.
The Public Prosecutor informed the court that no result of the test was received by the police and might that specimen be misplaced. Free Legal Assistance and Settlement Chairman Advocate Anis AA Saadi, counsel for the victim argued that the some police officials and the doctor trying to hide the truth about potency test of the accused deliberately to save the skin of the accused.
