Punjab Health Department has said that during the last 24 hours 20 new dengue fever patients had been admitted to different teaching hospitals of Lahore whereas, 24 patients had been discharged and at present 57 patients were under treatment. Business Recorder surveyed on Wednesday that nine new patients had been admitted to Mayo hospital, four were discharged while 30 patients were under treatment.
Similarly, five new patients were admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, eight were discharged and 13 under treatment. Moreover, three new patients had been admitted to Jinnah Hospital, 10 discharged and nine were still under treatment. According to reports, at present no dengue fever patient was under treatment in Lahore General Hospital and Children Hospital.
As a result, the total number of dengue patients under treatment in hospitals, reduced and only 57 patients were reported to be still under treatment in four teaching hospitals of Lahore. The sources further said that one new patient had been reported in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Rawalpindi and four patients were under treatment in BBH, Rawalpindi.
Further, no dengue patient was under treatment in Holy Family Hospital, DHQ Hospital Rawalpindi, Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahimyar Khan, Nishtar Hospital Multan. Moreover, 64 patients were found dengue virus positive in OPD of IPH Laboratory Lahore. As per the reports, so far 1,169 dengue patients in Lahore and 1,240 in the whole province have been registered.
