Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed the banks to accept Haj application forms according to the instructions. According to the spokesman of Joint Secretary (Haj) Ministry of Religious Affairs, Aftab ul Islam has said that it has come to the notice of this Ministry that some bank branches are not accepting Hajj application forms on production of receipt issued by immigration and passport office for obtaining International Machine Readable Passport (IMRP).
In a statement issued here on Thursday, the spokesman said that it is notified for information of the general public that according to approved Hajj Policy, person holding International Machine Readable Passports as well as those who have applied for IMRP can submit their Hajj application forms by pasting the receipt issued by the immigration and passport office on appropriate place of Haj application forms.
