National Highways and Motorway Police N-5 Central Zone and Motorway M-2 & 3 Zone hosted a farewell party in honour of Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police, Wajid Ali Durrani, who is going to retire in the last week of the current month.
Wajid Ali Durrani during his almost 34 years of career remained posted on many key posts. He served as Additional IG Sindh, IG Islamabad, and IG Sindh and currently as IG NH&MP. He was awarded President Police Medal (1981) and Quide-e-Azam Police medal (1985) for his bravery and outstanding performance. He is from 5th common which makes him among the most senior Police officers at the time.
Inspector General Pakistan Railways Police Syed Ibne Hussain, DIG Dr Shafique, Zonal commander N-5 Central Zone Nisar Saroya, DIG Jahanzeib Khan Jogezai, DIG Fateh Sher Joyia (Retd), SSP Mirza Faran Baig and other senior officials of Motorway Police participated in the farewell ceremony. DIG Dr Shafique while speaking on the occasion paid rich tribute to the outgoing I.G NH&MP for his contribution to the welfare of the force and revival of the department. IG Wajid Ali Durrani said that the period he spent in NH&MP is the best of his career and wished he would have spent more time in this department. Wajid Ali was presented gifts and souvenirs also.
