Cricket fans from around the world love Pakistan team's former captain Shahid Afridi to the core and Boom Boom Afridi always makes sure that he wins hearts of his fans whenever possible.
One such recent incident has won the hearts of many after Afridi displayed true sportsmanship by giving Indian flag the respect. After winning the two-match ice cricket Twenty 20 series in Switzerland against Virender Sehwag’s Diamonds, Afridi was posed with fans when he came across some Indian fans.
Following the entertaining game, an Indian fan asked Afridi to pose with her for a picture. However, before the picture was clicked, Afridi told her to hold the flag straight and to pose with it.
"Flag toh seedha kero apna [hold your flag straight]" he said to her and the fan obliged, after which the picture was taken.
Afridi's small gesture has been making rounds on social media and many Afridi fans are sharing the video while appreciating the cricketer for not showing any bias.

“We [sportspersons] are ambassadors from our respective countries. We should look to do positive things. [Politicians should do what they are supposed to], but I think we can play a bigger role for both the countries,” he said.
“I have always maintained that the better the relations are between India and Pakistan, we will deliver a blow to those who are against us,” Afridi had said.
