Police arrested a landlord Hanif of Pakpattan, from the Lahore High Court premises after court cancelled his bail application who had criminally assault a girl. On Thursday, investigation officer presented a DNA report before the court, which proved the crime of the accused.
According to the FIR, registered on application of Daim Ali at Chak Bedi police station, uncle of victim, Hanif used to rape her time and again. Complainant submitted that she did not inform any one as Hanif had threatened her not to inform any one about it. Accused Hanif in his petition submitted that the case was registered against him with absolute false and fake version having some ulterior motive.
He said there is an inordinate delay of more than 5 months in lodging the FIR but no satisfactory explanation has been given in the FIR, which clearly showed the due deliberation and consultation in lodging the FIR. He said no such occurrence has ever taken place. He said the alleged victim is a married woman and being his wife she was residing with him.
