The past week opening day was a closed holiday. The fluctuation from the wholesale grain markets was not available. However, Kirana items from Jodia Bazar rates were given as follows: Copra India (per 40 kg) shed Rs 300 to Rs 4900, long pepper lost Rs 500 to Rs 44,500, Sago rose by Rs 250 to Rs 3350. Star aniseed shed Rs 200 to Rs 13,800 cuminseed quoted at Rs 10,300 and Darchini rose by Rs 200 to Rs 6600. In the meantime fluctuation in global commodities have improved with prices ruling both ways.
On Tuesday grain and commodity markets saw good amount of trading and jump in prices. Naturally, as Ramazan was knocking at the door and traders expect more and more retailers to buy for month long needs. Thus, grain from Australia No I low type rose by Rs 200 to Rs 8100, while the better type was higher by Rs 300 to RS 8500, gram dal Australia No I rose by Rs 400 to Rs 9700-10100 gram 50x50 rose by Rs 100 to Rs 87000-9100, yellow peas Canada rose by Rs 200 to Rs 4500 and Rs 4700, yellow peas dal Canada rose by Rs 200 to Rs 4500 and Rs 4700, yellow Peas Dal Canada up by Rs 150 to Rs 5000 to Rs 5200, yellow peas Ukraine gained Rs 100 to Rs 4200 and Rs 4400, yellow peas Ukraine rose by Rs 150 to RS 4800 and Rs 5000, yellow peas Russia low type up by Rs 150 to Rs 4350 while the better quality was sharply up by Rs 450 to Rs 4850, yellow peas dal Russia rose by Rs 200 to Rs 4900 and Rs 5100. Urad Burma low type up by Rs 200 to Rs 2400, while the other type lost Rs 150 to Rs 2450. Irri-6 Sindh low type rose by Rs 25 to Rs 3425 while the other variety was put at Rs 3500. Cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low quality lost Rs 50 to Rs 500 while the better type rose by Rs 75 to Rs 825. As rapeseed and other edible seeds were ruling easy, the oil world cut EU rapeseed production. The same was reported about Canadian Canola. The affable weather that is continuing won't anymore, so the Met Office reported. A worst flood, perhaps worse than 2010-11 floods is awaiting Pakistan and Southern Sindh.

Wheat old bardan old and Wheat new bardan rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2610 and Rs 2650.
On Thursday, globally cotton traded 2-1/4 years low, so were other commodities like oil, gold as others ended mixed. Locally cotton showed weakness while barley Sindh and Mardan rose by Rs 200 to Rs 3300 due to tight supply, gur low type also stayed put at Rs 4200, while other variety rose by Rs 10 to Rs 5500, cottonseed oilcakes with bag low type was unchanged at Rs 600 while superior variety rose by Rs 100 to Rs 800, castorseed Lasbela lost Rs 100 to Rs 1800 while castorseed Sindh lost to stay at Rs 1600.
On Friday the participantd on grain market remained busy in preparations for Juma prayer.
On Jodia Bazar kirana items edged down. The changes were:KIRANA ITEMS (Per 40 kg): Black pepper Brazil ended lower by Rs 200 to Rs 26,800, mace went down by Rs 1000 to Rs 83,000, big cardamom moved downward by Rs 2000 to Rs 53,000, cloves finished lower by Rs 500 to Rs 45,500, and Kalonjee was quoted at Rs 7000.
On Saturday in process of moderate trading guwar Sindh and Punjab both rose to Rs 3100-3200, wheat old and new Bardan was up by Rs 5 to Rs 2615 and Rs 2655, Khandsari low type gained Rs 300 to Rs 5300, the best type, however, lost Rs 400 to Rs 5600. On the grams counter, grams Australia No 1 lost Rs 400 to Rs 7700-8100, grams dal Australia No 1 followed same pattern, losing Rs 200 to Rs 9500-9900, grams 50x50 also shed Rs 300 to Rs 8400-8800. On the seed side only one change was witnessed where cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type maintained overnight level at Rs 600 while the best type drifted lower by Rs 50 to Rs 750, other items retained last levels. Prices were unmoved on the rice sector.
