As many as 11 ambassadors/high commissioners of the African countries will visit the first-ever "Africa Show" being organised by the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday (today) at its premises. The one-day Africa Show will have a conference and an exhibition in its fold.
At the Conference, the ambassadors of all the African countries working in Pakistan would be presenting their papers on business opportunities in their respective countries and scope for Pakistani businessmen while at the exhibition these countries would be highlighting the commercial and cultural potential of the African region. Throwing light on the very objectives of The Africa Show, LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that LCCI wanted to give boost to Pakistan's business with African region that was very small as compared to the potential existed in the two sides.
He said Pakistan was a resource-rich country but it was only suffering because of unavailability of information and through this unique African Show at Lahore, the LCCI would be giving all trade related information to the business community. They said African Embassies working in Pakistan had also been asked to also share the rules of business in their respective countries with Pakistani businessmen. LCCI President Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that The Africa Show would be the third event in a row where the ambassadors would be directly interacting with the business community.
