The Karachi Port handled 38,251 tonnes of cargo comprising 11,529 tonnes of import cargo and 26,722 tonnes of export cargo including nil loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 11,529 tonnes comprised of 416 tonnes of general cargo; 1,113 tonnes of bulk cargo: 666 tonnes of palm kernel; 447 tonnes of DAP and 10,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 26,722 tonnes comprised of 80 tonnes of general cargo; 13,221 tonnes of bulk cargo: 6,517 tonnes of cement; 6,704 tonnes of loose bulk cement and 13,421 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Two ships namely STX Patraikos and Tehin Quang-09 with one container ship and one bulk cargo ship respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Two vessels viz Stavanger Eagle and Du Juan Song with one oil tanker and one general cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths. A naphtha ship namely Hongbo sailed out to sea on Thursday, while two ships namely Stavanger Eagle and Sea Merchant with one oil tanker and one cement carrier respectively are expected to sail on Friday.
Two vessels viz Kota Azam and OXL Loyus with one container ship and one vehicles carrier respectively due to arrive on Thursday, while seven vessels viz Tamina, OOCL Dalian, Aspam Sun, Golden Dominance, Chem Rigel, Dignity Ace and Teteven with two container ships, one oil tanker, one chemicals carrier, one ethanol ship, one vehicles carrier and one general cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A cargo volume of 75,527 tonnes, comprising 64,206 tonnes of import cargo and 11,321 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 1,028 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Thursday.
The total import cargo of 64,206 tonnes includes 31,586 tonnes of diesel oil; 9,234 tonnes of palm oil; 14,000 tonnes of coal and 9,386 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 11,321 tonnes includes 1,175 tonnes of wheat and 10,146 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MT Jbu Trader and MT Al-Salam-II with edible oil and diesel oil sailed out to sea on Thursday afternoon. A total number of five vessels namely CV CMA CGM Strauss, MV Luilang Wisdom, MV Ever Shining, MT Jbu Oslo and MT Al-Salam-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, coal, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
As many as three ships CMA CGM Strauss, Juist Trader and Bow Fertility with containers and palm oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. A total number of three vessels viz CV CMA CGM Strauss, CV Juist Trader and MT Bow Fertility with containers and palm oil respectively are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Four ships namely CV Safmarine Ngami, CV MSC Saira-II, CV Tampa Bay and MT Bow Pride with containers and palm oil respectively are due to arrive on Friday. As many as six ships namely CV CMA CGM Mozart, CV Sargasso Sea, CV Maersk Utha, CV CMA CGM Eiffel, CV Nedlloyd Drake and MT Al-Mukhtara with containers and furnace oil are also due to arrive at Port Qasim.
