LAHORE: Punjab Minister of Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that relief in taxes will be provided to the marriage halls which remained closed during the lockdown on account of Covid-19.
The Minister revealed this while talking to a delegation of the Marriage Halls Association representatives here on Thursday. He hoped that the marriage halls would be allowed to operative during the next month.
He said the government realizes the negative impact on the marriage halls which remained closed for about six months. Now with the enforcement of SOPs, business activities have been revived. He said that opening of marriage halls is expected in the second week of September.
The Association’s President Mian Muhammad Ilyas apprised the Minister of the issues and stressed the need for their immediate resolution.
