Deputy Commissioners to get ‘incentives’ on good performance: PM
- Salaries should be increased on the basis of performance and those who failed to perform should be punished he said.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced that incentives will be given to those deputy commissioners who take initiatives to ensure green and clean Pakistan.
While addressing the Clean Green Index Award ceremony in Islamabad on Monday, the PM appreciated the performance of different deputy commissioners and said that they must be appreciated and given raise in salaries as well as bonuses.
"Incentives would be given to the deputy commissioners for their hard work, and punishment to those who fail to fulfill their jobs," the PM said. He said the salaries of everyone should not be increased without gauging who did what, adding that then only our country will flourish.
Last year, the PM had launched the Clean Green Pakistan Index to start a healthy cleanliness competition among 19 cities across the country.
In the Clean Green Cities Index Awards of Cities, Attock secured the first position with a lead on plantation followed by Bahawalpur with a lead on Solid Waste in the overall category in Punjab.
Lahore stood at third position with overall lead on water and hygiene, Gujrat got fourth while Rawalpindi was awarded the fifth position.
In the overall category in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bannu was declared first, Kohat, second, and Abbottabad third.
