Iranian FM to visit Pakistan tomorrow
- Heading a high-ranking political and economic delegation, Zarif will have meetings with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and other Pakistani political and military officials.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif heading a high-profile delegation will be visiting Pakistan on Tuesday.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced this in a presser today. He further said the FM will be heading a high-ranking political and economic delegation. Zarif will have meetings with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, and other Pakistani political and military officials.
Earlier, Zarif paid tribute to Pakistan’s national poet Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his 143rd birth anniversary.
"Allama Iqbal Fakhr has the status of a scholar of Islam and an international poet and thinker and the concerns he had for the unity of Muslims is a concern for the world of Islam today," Zarif tweeted.
The Iranian FM last visited Pakistan in 2019 where he held meetings with FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
