ABIDJAN: Ivory Coast's cocoa mid-crop output is expected to drop 23 percent to 400,000 tonnes this season due to insufficient rain and ill-kept fields, a senior source at the Coffee and Cocoa Council (CCC) said on Wednesday.
The farmgate price of cocoa beans for the April to September mid-crop will be between 600 and 650 CFA francs ($1.13 to $1.22) per kilogram, down from 700 CFA francs last season.
