A cargo volume of 110,850 tonnes comprising 37,809 tonnes of import cargo and 73,041 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 3,983 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 37,809 tonnes includes 4,999 tonnes of palm oil; 9,300 tonnes phosphoric acid; 8,503 tonnes of rape seed and 15,007 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 73,041 tonnes includes 28,415 tonnes of crude oil; 22,776 tonnes of cement and 21,850 tonnes of containerised cargo. There were two ships namely CV Lilly Schulte and MT Bunga Azalea with containers and oil tanker sailed out to sea during the last 24 hours, while another ship namely CV Maersk Kalamata with containers sailed out to sea on Saturday morning.
A total number of twelve vessels viz CV Lilly Schulte, CV Maersk Kalamata, CV Alice Rickmers, MV Georgianna Bo, MV Massillia, MV Rio Blanco, MT Ocean Jupiter, MT Lima Galaxy, MT Bunga Azalia, MT Feng Hai-33, MV Ince Il Gaz and MV KPS-1 Alican Bey were currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, crude oil, palm oil, phosphoric acid, rape seed and power ship respectively during the last 24 hours.
As many as four ships namely RBD Anema-e-Core, Mega Lohari, DL Dahlia and Ever Mighty with furnace oil, rape seed and coal are currently at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim. There were five vessels with containers, cement, chemical and palm oil took berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Saturday. There are three ships namely CV OEL Trust, MV DL Dahlia and MT RBD Anema E Core with containers, coal and furnace oil due to arrive on Saturday as per arrival schedule.
