LHC summons SHO, ETPB administrator on February 13

The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday summoned Old Anarkali SHO and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) administrator on February 13 in person after the board expressed its inability to have any force or mechanism to get its property evacuated from illegal occupants.
The petitioner Ms Zahida Parveen, a resident of Risala Bazar, Old Anarkali, contended that notwithstanding Section 25 of Evacuee Trust Properties' (Management and Disposal) Act 1975, which fully empowered the board for eviction of illegal occupants, the board maintained no such force or procedure for the purpose.
The petitioner's counsel Chaudhry Shoaib Saleem said she had become a rolling stone for over three years to get a lawful possession of the property allotted to her by the ETPB. The board through its counsel informed the court that it was helpless in getting illegal occupants evicted from its properties.
