Leaves of jail staff cancelled for strengthening security

Leaves of jail staff across the province have been cancelled directing them to report for duty immediately for strengthening of security in and around the prisons otherwise strict action will be taken against them. Official sources told APP here on Thursday that provincial Prisons Chief Mian Farooq Nazeer has directed all regional DIGs and senior superintendents throughout the province to call back staff on duty who are availing leaves.
Meanwhile DIG Lahore Range, Mubashar Ahmad Khan has also directed the all superintendents, deputy and assistant superintendents of Lahore range not to leave prisons premises without his prior approval and further directed to fully ensure round the clock armed patrolling in and around the jails. He also paid a surprise visit to camp jail to monitor the overall security arrangements and expressed his satisfaction Jail Superintendent Shahram Tauqir Khan briefed him about the deployment of special staff on all important points to ensure foolproof security.
