Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company Chairman SM Tanveer has said his company has finalised feasibility studies to set up industrial estates in 10 more districts. "These ten districts are Gujar Khan, Pin Dadan Khan, Bhakkar, Jhang, Gujrat, Okara, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and DG Khan," he added.
He said the company, by following the guidelines of the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, is transforming the Punjab into an industrial hub, claiming that all these industrial estates would generate millions of jobs in the province. "The company has already completed the Sundar and the Multan Industrial Estates and development work on four more industrial estates is underway. These four industrial estates included Industrial Estates of Rahim Yar Khan, Bhalwal, Vehari, Chunian and Quaid-e-Azam Apparel Park," he added. He also said his company had completed the infrastructural work at the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur where 1,000MW electricity would be generated through solar panels.
