The Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) has enforced the rain emergency and cancelled leaves of all officers and staff. The HMC's Mayor Syed Tayyab Hussain directed the officers and staff at a meeting here on Thursday to ensure all arrangements for providing a clean environment to the citizens were put in place.
He asked the staff to coordinate with the district administration, Hyderabad development Authority (HDA) and Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA). The Mayor directed concerned officer to ensure presence of the entire staff posted at the drainage pumping stations on their duties and also that the standby electricity generators were made available at the stations.
The Municipal Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Saleem Rajput and other officers attended the meeting.
