According to it, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is truly a harbinger of economic development, peace and prosperity in the region and urged all national institutions to make all-out efforts to ensure the success of CPEC. He has also said that the CPEC is also an affirmation of Pakistan's efforts for a peaceful and prosperous region.

India's growing belligerence towards both Pakistan and China in the context of CPEC's prospects clearly reflects New Delhi's approach to peace and security in the region. India, therefore, is required to abandon its hegemonic designs in the larger interest of peace in the region.
