Samsung kills headphone jack in new hole-in-display Galaxy A8s
As promised, Samsung has finally announced its Galaxy A8s that integrates its all new Infinity-O display, hole-in-display, triple camera, but also killed the headphone jack after mocking Apple for doing it.
Samsung announced yesterday its all new smartphone, Galaxy A8s, which it dubbed as the ‘Real Galaxy’. The phone comes in with many incredible features including a hole-in-display design for the phone’s selfie camera.
As described by The Verge, the smartphone has a 6.4-inch Infinity-O display. Having either a 6GB or 8GB RAM, the phone has 128GB expandable storage of up to 512GB. The back features a 24MP+10MP+5MP triple rear camera setup, while the front has a 24MP cutout sensor. Galaxy A8s incorporates a 3,400mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Samsung, Huawei race to unveil new phones this month with hole-in-display
Moreover, where Samsung earlier mocked Apple for killing the headphone jack in its iPhones, Samsung seems to have taken the same approach as it killed the headphone jack in its Galaxy A8s too, as per Mac Rumors.
However, as said earlier, the phone is available in China for now with no news about its availability outside the country. Also, the tech giant didn’t reveal the price of the phone yet, but it is expected that the phone will be a mid-ranger. The pre-orders of the phone are due to open on December 21.
Meanwhile, Huawei is expected to launch it Nova 4 next week as well, containing the same hole-in-display design.
