Facebook tests new interactive feature to share events in Stories
In order to promote events and help them getting noticed, Facebook is testing a new feature where it will put the events into Stories to help them getting noticed.
Facebook has been an important place to organize various events, but often they go unnoticed. To solve this issue, Facebook is reportedly testing a new feature to help people notice various events. Event creator can share the event as a Story and can customize it to become more noticeable.
As per The Verge, with this feature, Facebook aims to ‘share events you’re interested in and coordinate to meet up with friends IRL’ via Stories. The event will be easy to advertise and offer periodic reminders and sell people on the concept beyond a plain text description.

Event organizers can share details of an event with people. The stories will come with tappable stickers for revealing the event details and people can then mark themselves as ‘Interested’ or ‘Going’ to the event from within the story. The story will also incorporate a link to the event page built in and a way to initiate a group chat on Messenger with friends who responded.
The feature has already been in tests in the US, Mexico and Brazil and is expected to spread to other countries as well. It will available for mobile users on both Android and iOS.
