Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday vowed to continue exposing the fascist and anti-Muslim government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India and reassured Pakistan's unwavering support to Kashmiri people 'whether the world stands with them or not'. The prime minister was addressing a large number of party workers and supporters gathered at the Islamabad airport to welcome him upon his arrival after his historic address to the UN General Assembly session in New York, highlighting grave human rights violations in the occupied Kashmir and the Modi government's fascist agenda.
"I promise, I will keep exposing the fascist government of Modi and his anti-Muslim regime before the world on every platform", Prime Minister Khan told the cheering crowd at the airport where cabinet members, parliamentarians, political workers, and people from all walks of life were present to welcome him.
Reiterating Pakistan's support to the Kashmiri people, he said that whether the world stands by the Kashmiri people or not, Pakistan is standing by them. "Because this is a jihad", he said, adding that eight million Kashmiri people have been locked up by the Indian forces for the last 55 days.
"I want to remind you that struggle goes through highs and lows - this is what struggle is all about. But you need not to be disappointed at bad times because the people of Kashmir are looking towards you and, God willing, they [Kashmiris] will win and they will get the freedom", the Prime Minister further said.
He said that Kashmiri people, their women and children, are looking towards Pakistan. He asked the people of Pakistan to remain steadfast in supporting their Kashmiri brethren in their struggle against the Indian aggression. "I have taught to my people who are with me for the last 20 years that man only makes efforts and God gives success", Prime Minister Khan further said.
The Prime Minister also thanked the people of Pakistan, saying: "I want to thank the nation the way you prayed for me to be able to present Kashmir's case before the UN General Assembly, particularly Bushra Bibi[his wife] because she prayed a lot for us". The Prime Minister along with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi returned home from New York after a short stopover at Jeddah as his flight was delayed due to some technical fault. A large number of PTI workers and supporters who have arrived from different cities and holding party flags, the national flags and the flags of Kashmir were present at the airport to welcome the Prime Minister.
