Pakistan sets ODI record, despite losing series against England
The ongoing ODI series between England and Pakistan, may not have been something to right about for the visitors but that had not stopped the Men in Green to reach a new record.
As Pakistan became the first team to score 340-plus totals in three consecutive One Day Internationals (ODIs), the record was achieved during the fourth ODI against England in Nottingham and, in matter of hours England became the second side to claim the feat.
Pakistan have gone on to score 361/7, 358/9 and 340/7 in the last subsequent matches. However, despite reaching mammoth scores Pakistan have ended up losing in all the three matches.
In the second ODI at Southampton, England won by 12 runs; in 3rd ODI at Bristol, England won by 6 wickets and then in the fourth ODI in Nottingham, the hosts triumphed by 3 wickets.
With the series 3-0 already in favour of England, Pakistan would face the hosts in the fifth ODI of the series at Leeds on Sunday.
