Imam-ul-Haq eyes to open World Cup 2019 with a century
Pakistan cricketer Imam-ul-Haq intends to open his World Cup 2019 account with a century, as the opening batsman made his way into Pakistan’s final 15-Men squad for the tournament.
“My debut and the overall two year journey in international cricket has been really good, our aim is always to give our best for Pakistan so I am hopeful to start off our first World Cup match that is against the West Indies with a century,” said Imam.
Imam, who has been among the top run getters for Pakistan in limited overs cricket, is one of the few player in the side to have represented the country in the Under-19 World Cup as well.
Pakistan cricket team has now start prepping for the upcoming World Cup. The side will play two warm-up matches, against Afghanistan on May 24 and Bangladesh on May 26, before opening their World Cup campaign against the West Indies on May 31.
