'We will come back from this', says Wahab after Windies drubbing

Pakistan didn’t get to the best of start at the ICC World Cup 2019, after its drubbing at the hands of the West Indies left many fans heartbroken as they succumbed to their 11th consecutive ODI defeat.

However, Pakistan veteran fast bowler Wahab Riaz, who is part of the World Cup campaign says Pakistan needs to shrug off the loss and needs to learn from their mistakes and improve in the upcoming match.

“It was disappointing to lose to the West Indies but this is just the start, we will comeback from this. We just need to get into our rhythm. We will have to look at this as a practice match now,” said Wahab, quoted ICC.

Talking about Pakistan’s upcoming encounter against the World Cup favourites England, the fast bowler said that his side needs to ‘be on the very top of our game to beat’ the hosts.

The defeat against West Indies on Friday was Pakistan's 11th consecutive ODI defeat, a habit that Wahab believes needs to be gotten rid, and a win against England might turn the wheel in Pakistan favour.

“We have been losing in the past, we need to find a way to get out of this pattern. We’ve been playing some good cricket in the last few months but we need to click at the right time. We know where we are making the mistakes and a win against England would change everything.”
