Early World Cup wins ‘crucial’ for building momentum, says Afridi
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi says that he ‘truly believes’ that Pakistan has the ability win the ICC World Cup 2019, however, he added that winning early games is ‘crucial in building up confidence and momentum’.
“I’m fully confident in our team and their capabilities and truly believe they can go on to win this World Cup. Wishing the best of luck to our boys including Sarfraz Ahmed. Early games are crucial in building up confidence & momentum; we should strive for a win against England today,” tweeted Afridi.

After losing their first game of the tournament against West Indies, Sarfraz-led side will face England today. The Pakistani skipper was optimistic to make a strong show against the hosts England.
