Fakhar Zaman eager to make much anticipated debut for Glamorgan
Pakistan opening batsman Fakhar Zaman will finally make his much anticipated debut for Glamorgan county club in the T20 Blast.
The left-hander is scheduled to play at least six matches, after Zaman failed to play in the first two games due to visa delay. The opening batsman is likely to make his home debut against Middlesex on Friday.
"I have so many good memories of the Cardiff ground," said Zaman, quoted BBC Sport. "That was my first tour with the Pakistan team, we played two games here and won both including the semi-final."
Fakhar, who was part of Pakistan’s World Cup squad, didn’t enjoy the best outing with bat in the tournament. However, the opening batsman is eager to play county cricket with newer faces, which the batsman considers a ‘dream for cricketers.’
"We are professionals, we need to adapt to any situation and this is really good for me because I signed for Somerset in 2017 but I didn't make it because of national duty, so I'm very happy to be here," he said.
"I like to play at the Oval, so I hope it will go well. County cricket is a dream for cricketers and I would love to play more," he added.
