Afridi reminds fans of his golden days after blistering knock in Canada
Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi reminded us of his golden days, after the star attraction of Twenty20 cricket led his Brampton Wolves to victory against Edmonton Royals at the Global T20 Canada on Sunday.
Afridi displayed his batting fire power with a blistering knock of 81 off just 40 deliveries, as Boom Boom hit 10 boundaries and five maximums including two against fellow Pakistani leggie Shadab Khan at Brampton.
He then clicked with the ball picking up the wicket of fellow Pakistani all rounder Mohammad Hafeez, who got caught by Rohan Mustafa on 5, earning the Pakistani the Player of the Match award.
Earlier, it was learnt that the Qatar Cricket Association has appointed Afridi the brand ambassador of their country’s first T10 League scheduled to be held before the end of the year. The tournament has been sanctioned by the International Cricket Council
I want to express deepest gratitude to The Qatar Olympic Committee President @JoaanBinHamad & Mr Yousef Al Kuwari for announcing QPL T10 Cricket League. With your support&as a Brand Ambassador,we can make this a mega event which will not only promote cricket but also tourism in🇶🇦 pic.twitter.com/HvVe2M5yjz
