Karachi to receive another rain spell on Friday, Saturday: Met office

Karachi is expected to receive its third spell of monsoon rain from Friday which will last till Saturday.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the port city will receive light to moderate rain during the next 24-48 hours. However, the PMD has said that 'no severe weather system' will affect the metropolitan during the rain.

"Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) denies reports on social media such as "another intense weather system will grip Karachi on Thursday and Friday," the notification added. Meanwhile, the temperature in Karachi will range between 30 and 32 degree Celsius.

The Met office has also predicted widespread rains in Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir. Malakand, Sargodha, Faislabad, Sahiwal, Multan, D.G.Khan, Bahawalpur divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan are also expected to receive rain.
