The United Business Group leader and former senator, Ilyas Ahmad Bilour has hailed the Peshawar High Court verdict, in which the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) is being directed to conduct probe into alleged corruption in Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project within next 45 days.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, Mr Bilour hoped the injustice in shape of BRT project made with people of Peshawar by incumbent PTI led provincial government would be readdresal to some extent following the judgement of Peshawar High Court in this regard.

UBG leader said the BRT is a project of disastrous for Peshawar and was a useless scheme in the metropolis. He said the PTI government has not only completely ruined Peshawar by launching of BRT, but the city historic importance was also diminished, which could not be revived for next several decades.

The country's leading businessmen said the PTI government decision to challenge the decision of Peshawar High Court regarding BRT in Supreme Court has proved that the provincial government is completely in disarray and disorder situation, and moving to SC against the PHC decision to hide its failure and corruption, he alleged.

"If there was no corruption in BRT and the project would be in greater interest of people then the PTI government could never go to Supreme Court against the verdict of PHC. He said BRT had brought the Peshawar on verge of collapse as traffic mess on GT road was seen around the clock, especially business community are become in mental agony due this project.

UBG leader demanded to take immediate action against responsible in delay of BRT as business community had received colossal financial and business losses as well as made the life of commuters/people miserable to due to their negligence.

He said the PTI led provincial government has multiplied miseries of Peshawarities by dividing Peshawar into four parts in wake of BRT project. He said people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had not elected the PTI to rule in the province, but they had come in power with support of hidden hands. He said the BRT had not given any relief to people of metropolis.
