“Sarabjit a Mistaken Identity” to be made into a feature film

KARACHI: The Indian film industry has made another bold move to draw the world’s attention towards the “Free Sarabjit” cause.
Indian Producer Surender Rahela and Director Nagendra Singh have announced a new film titled “Sarabjit a Mistaken Identity”. The film will feature the life and imprisonment of Sarabjit Singh, who has been held in a Pakistani jail for 22 years on spying charges.
Nagendra and his team have been gathering information about Singh over the last six months, and the film is aimed at presenting his journey till now.
Production is due to commence next month in the state of Ferozepur in India’s Punjab, and if the Pakistani Government allows it, some of the sequences will be shot in Pakistan.
“Sarabjit a Mistaken Identity” is a part of Indian efforts to bring Singh and his plight for freedom, under the spotlight. It is important to note philanthropists from both sides of the border are in favor of his release.
