Police claim the accused was involved in several high profile murders including that of religious and political representatives. He was also involved in murders of police personnel.
During the police operation, three repeaters, four Kalashnikovs and twelve TT pistols were also recovered.
Police have also arrested three accused for their alleged involvement in the murder of notorious Lyari gangster Arshad Pappu.
SSP CID Fayyaz Khan told media that two terrorists of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were also arrested in Sarjani town of Karachi on Wednesday. He said they belonged to Lashkar-e-Jaffareem Bokhari group and involved in the killing of Shias, doctors and police officials. Ten kgs of explosive material was also recovered from their custody.
He said the police also recovered a cap from the custody of the accused which had an inbuilt camera through which they spied on the court.
According to police, the three accused include Yasir Dada, Shahjehan Baloch and Zubair Baloch who is being identified as the brother of Peoples Aman Committee chief Uzair Baloch.
The accused were booked in the murder case on behalf of Arshad Papu’s wife.
The police have also seized weapons from the custody of the accused.
The bodies of Arshad Papu, his brother and Shera Pathan were recovered in Lyari area of Karachi on March 17. Police claimed the three had been kidnapped and tortured to death.
