Crude oil export value in the period, however, plummeted 40.9 percent from a year ago to $604 million, reflecting global price drops, the General Statistics Office said.
Oil product imports during January-February fell 7.6 percent from the corresponding period last year to an estimated 1.3 million tonnes, with value dropping 52.2 percent to $621 million, the office said in its monthly report.
Vietnam also imported an estimated 137,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas during the period, a surge of 107.4 percent from the same period in 2014, the office said.
