Punjab Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) President Hafiz Muhammad Idrees while terming the President's address to parliament as disappointing has alleged that the claims made by the President in the speech were totally baseless and contrary to facts.
Addressing a meeting here on Sunday, Hafiz said neither the true democracy has been restored to the country nor there is any ray of hope for the solution to problems faced by the masses, adding the crime rate is touching the sky limits and the price-hike is unprecedented.
He said the public is faced with the basic issues of poverty, health and education facilities and unemployment, yet the President is harping the same old tune of 'all OK', he alleged.
The MMA leader was of the view that the Pakistan's foreign policy is a complete failure, and the government is working on the direct instructions of Washington in running the affairs of the state, saying Pakistan during the Saarc summit has openly conceded that freedom movement in Kashmir is terrorism, and has pledged India all possible help in this regard, which is a criminal act on the part of the government. added.
He opined that the government is weak and President is afraid of the protests by the opposition, saying this one reason why President has addressed the parliament, and presented a bundle of lies in front of the masses and legislators.
