Rs 2 million provided for sanitation and street pavements

Minister for Health, Inayatullah, has said that the success of the development projects is linked with the active participation of the people of the area for which the scheme has been launched.
"Only your participation can ensure success of the projects in the area," he told a huge gathering in the Rehankote village of the district Dir Upper on Saturday.
The minister was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Supporting Innovations in Districts Programme, launched with the assistance of district government, SRSP, the private sector and local communities in the Rehankote village.
SRSP has provided Rs 2 million for projects, aims at improving the sanitation and street pavements in this village in Dir Upper.
The minister informed the people that projects, which involve the community, were properly maintained and less expenditure incurred.
He said that it was the responsibility of the government to create a positive environment for development and encourage efforts to bring progress to remote and backward parts of the country.
The project is part of the process simultaneously launched across different districts of Pakistan with the assistance of USAID through the rural supports network.
Hundreds of people attended the function, which was also addressed by the District Nazim and the Chief Executive Officer of SRSP.
The District Nazim Sahibzada Tariqullah thanked SRSP for extending support to the district in the field of small infrastructure development and education.
The chief executive officer SRSP asked the people to ensure that the project is effectively implemented through their active participation.
