The office-bearers of Central Traders Organisation and Iron Steel Association regretted the role of police and district administration and said the police and administration have failed to check skyrocketing ratio of crimes in the city.
While talking to newsmen during a press conference here on Sunday, the office-bearers including Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Malik Muham-mad Afzal and the brother of Mian Ijaz have demanded of government to arrest dacoits who have assassinated Mian Ijaz on April 29 at Gawalmandi Bridge and also snatched 0.8m rupees from him.
They warned that in case of non-apprehension of the murderers they would not only hold protests rallies but also launch strikes throughout the city.
