Eid Milad-un-Nabi : main procession in Rawalpindi to start from Committee Chowk

03 May, 2004

On the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi on Monday, a main procession will be organised by Dawat-e-Islami in Rawalpindi that will originate from Committee Chowk at 4 pm and end at Khayaban-e-Sirsyed. Naat Khwani would be the main event of this procession.
On Sunday here (Liaquat Bagh sports complex) and Islamabad (Karachi Company) Eid Milad-un-Nabi congregations were held by Dawat-e-Islami, attended by a large number of people from twin cities.
In the first session of gathering, Muhammad Zia Attari said in his speech at the occasion that this particular day is demanding something from us that we should follow the right way and must adopt the Sunnah of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
He said that due to ignorance, Muslims have become prey to Satan, and like to follow the non-Islamic teachings.
Meanwhile Sehri was served to participants for fasting on the day of 12th Rabbi ul awal.
In the second session Subh-e-Baharan was recited at the time of blessed birth of Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Dawat-e-Islami also held processions all over Pakistan and abroad. The special processions will be held on 12th Rabbi-ul-awal.
Likewise, Dawat-e-Islami would hold congregations on the night between 11th and 12th Rabbi-ul-awal.
In this connection the main 'Ijtimah' will take place in Karachi (Kakri ground) where tens of thousands of people from all parts of the city would gather to observe the sacred event.
