DCET being accredited with PEC

Federal Minister for Education Zobaida Jalal has ordered to accredit the Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET), Karachi, with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), as the college has fulfilled all the requirements set by the PEC.
This was assured by the team of education ministry, sent by the federal minister for education to Dawood College of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, said a statement issued here on Tuesday.
The team assured the students that after taking personal interest into the matter, the minister for education had immediately directed the college to up bring standard of the college according to the criteria set by the PEC for registration.
The team, headed by Joint Educational Advisor, Mrs Rashida Baloch on behalf of the federal minister for education, further assured the students that the federal ministry of education is well aware of the their genuine demands and would do everything possible to save the future of the students.
The team also briefed students about the issue of accreditation of the college with the PEC.
The team told the students that the college was again affiliated with Mehran University of Engineering and Technology in 2000, after the federal minister for education personally advocated the case of the college to save the future of hundreds of students.
